Social media marketing refers to the process of attracting an audience or attention through social media platforms.

Social media itself is a catch-all term for sites that may provide radically different social actions. Take Facebook and Twitter for example. You know your target audience is using both Facebook and Twitter. Do you approach both of them the same? You don’t, the benefits are different, the strategies are different, the users are different and you have to account for that.

The social media marketing strategies you ultimately use will define how successful you are. A lot of business owners forget to be “social” in their marketing. Times have changed and traditional marketing is not as effective in today’s marketplace. Marketing on social media is much more than just posting content, it has become an “art.” The more artistic you become, the better.

It takes a good social media marketing plan to break through all the noise as I’m sure you know, there’s thousands of other choices your target clients can choose from.
