It’s a fair question, do I need a business coach?
I’m a big believer in being productive, producing results and always having a mentor to guide you. When I created my business coaching program, I answered this very question.
Let me share that answer with you now.
Your Business, Your Scenario Is Unique
Before I work with clients, they schedule a breakthrough strategy so we can discuss their business, services, products, challenges and goals. Every coaching client I have is different. They have different needs, they’re at different stages, they have industry specific challenges and so on. No two cases are exactly alike.
It’s almost impossible to answer this question without a conversation first.
If you’re a coach, consultant or expert and you know you need help, let’s have that conversation.
Do You Have An Established Client Business?
If you’re looking for a business coach and you don’t have an established business yet, it’s too early.
We turn down around half the prospects that seek our services. One of the main reasons we do is that they’re not ready. Now, we don’t just tell them no and send them off, that’s wrong. We give them the guidance they need and give them the next steps to take.
Now, if you’re an established business and you want to grow your business, make more money, help more people, a business coach can certainly help.
What’s Your Business Goals? Life Goals?
I imagine you’re have a special skill, a level of expertise that clients pay you for. I’m going to assume you’re a true expert.
Here’s what I’d ask you. How far do you want to take your business? What’s your business goals? What’s your life goals?
To give you a benchmark, at the very least, you should be making $20K a month in your client business. If you’re not, something is wrong. In this scenario, a business coach can help by showing you the steps you need to take to get to $20K a month and beyond.
With that said, it still needs to align with your business goals and life goals.
Do you really want to get to $20K a month? $50K a month? $100K a month? If so, keep reading for the clarity you seek.
Is There A Big Enough Problem, Pain, Market?
Every expert business is not a 7 figure business. It heavily depends on how big the problems are you’re solving. There also has to be enough demand in the market, has to be enough buyers for what it is you do.
If you’re not solving big problems, it’s going to be tough for you to grow a 7 figure business. Heck, it could be difficult to grow a 6 figure business if the problem is not big enough.
Here’s my point: People will pay big money to get rid of big problems.
Let me use myself as an example. I solve a major problem, I help men and women build a widely profitable business. The problem my prospects face are;
- Don’t know how to make consistent income on their own
- Don’t know the correct path or process to grow their business
- Struggle to get consistent new clients
- Working too many hours
Why is this a big problem? A big pain? If my prospects are not making money in their business, they can’t pay the bills. That’s a big problem. If they can’t afford to put food on the table for their kids, that’s a big problem. If they’re spending all their time at work and not at home, that’s a big problem. This is why I can charge what I charge, which I don’t hide behind. I charge $5,000 to work with my clients.
Can You Charge A Premium Price?
If this problem or pain is big enough, you can charge a premium price for your expert services.
One of the biggest problems I see my coaching clients make is not charging what they’re worth. I don’t want you to make the same mistakes.
If you’re solving a big pain or problem, your clients will gladly pay for it.
